Bring harmony and balance into your life

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of physical bodywork, practised to keep a person healthy, incorporating gentle manipulation, stretching, holding and mobilization. Shiatsu may involve finger pressure on acupuncture points.

Shiatsu is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine involving ‘Energy or Qi’ which flow in a series of channels in the human body called ‘Meridians’. Shiatsu works with acupuncture points, meridians and the body and mind to sustain you in good health.

Tai Chi & Qigong

Tai Chi is based on the movements of animals adapted for the human form. In its origin myth, in the thirteenth century, a Chinese monk, called Chang Sen Feng saw a snake and a crane fighting. About ME image
I have been involved  in Tai Chi for over 25 years. I was inspired by this practice to learn  further about the meridians I came across  and their applications. I wanted to help improve my health and the health of others. I decided Shiatsu embodied what  I was seeking.
I trained at the Northern School of Shiatsu in Sheffield, qualifying in 2021, after a 3 years course. The Shiatsu style I practice is called Zen and was developed by Mr Shizuto Masunaga in Japan. I am a member of the Shiatsu Society, through whom I have Public Liability Insurance.

I became a Tai Chi practitioner in the 1990s. I was attracted by the graceful and slow movements and meditative opportunities. I am a member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.

I practice a hand form Yang style and the 8 Treasure Qigong set (Ba Duan Jin). I also do Fan forms, Sword and Stick forms.

I have taught Tai chi and Qigong  in Bradford, Yorkshire,  for a number of years.
